About the Slimming Mama

My name is Samantha and I am a Food Blogger, Slimming World Target Member, Mummy to a beautiful little boy and wife to my husband James.

My weight loss journey began back in January 2015. I was unhappy, unhealthy, unfit, and struggling to create a routine for myself as a new mum. I didn't even recognise myself anymore and I was just existing in an endless cycle of unhealthy eating.

I decided I had to lose my weight when I found out my mum was dying. It made me realise how precious life is. I felt by being unhealthy I was wasting this life I'm so blessed to be living and how important it was to be a healthy mum to my then 6 month old. That was the defining moment for me and the motivational push I needed to change my lifestyle.

I walked through the door of my Slimming World group on 31st December 2014 weighing 18 stone 13lbs. In 32 weeks I managed to lose 8 stone, taking my weight to a healthy 10 stone 13lbs. I dropped from a size 24 plus to a size 10 in 8 months!

Along the way I began to blog about my weight loss journey. You'll find motivational hint & tips, my thoughts and feelings along the way, information about foods I love to eat, and recipes that I love.

Everyday I post my meals, tips, and info about new products on my instagram and facebook, which in turn inspires others to eat healthy too.

I have now been maintaining my healthy weight since August 2015 by continually following a healthy lifestyle and I am passionate about inspiring others to believe they can also achieve anything they set out acheive.
